At Shirshir Ethiopia, we take great pride in our leather products and are committed to maintaining high standards of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in our business operations.
We strive to support sustainable practices in our production process. We work closely with local artisans and prioritize fair labor practices to ensure a positive impact on the communities we work with. Our goal is to not only create beautiful leather products, but to also make a positive contribution to society and the environment. By supporting local artisans and traditional craftsmanship, we create unique and high-quality products that showcase the beauty of Ethiopian leather.
In addition, we are dedicated to upholding ethical sourcing practices for our leather materials. We work with local suppliers and communities to ensure that our sourcing processes are sustainable and environmentally friendly.
One of our key CSR initiatives is ensuring fair wages and good working conditions for our employees. We believe in providing a safe and supportive work environment where our employees can thrive and grow both personally and professionally. We also prioritize the continuous training and development of our team to enhance their skills and expertise. To this end we have developed, under the guidance of the CBI program (www.CBI.EU), an internal Social Compliance Management System which includes policies, training programs, a grievance mechanism and a Code of Conduct.
